Christmas Letter from Pastor Gary & Penny
Merry Christmas to the family of Saints of Calvary Chapel Living Waters
From our hearts to yours, we wish you all the joy and peace that the celebration of the birth of our Savior can bring. It has been a challenging year to say the least. Our daily lives have been changed in so many ways this year, but we continue to look to the Lord for our strength. The true test of our faith lies in the trials and tests that we endure. Do we thank God when the tough times come? Do we honestly believe that God is in control and has a plan for each one of us? Do we remember this time of year, that the Birth we celebrate is God's gift of everlasting life to the world? I hope so!
More than two thousand years ago the Light of the world stepped down into the darkness of a society that was lost in self-indulgence, political and religious turmoil, and a sense that "If God even did exist, He was probably too busy to care about the problems that man had created for himself anyway." Sounds familiar doesn't it? Jesus came to open the eyes of all mankind to the fact that God does exist and does care to be involved in our lives, so much so, that He sent His Only Son to pay the price for the sin of all mankind. That same light still shines through the darkness and rebellion of our world today. The message of love and forgiveness in Jesus is what we still offer at Calvary Chapel Coronado Living Waters. Our hopes and prayers are to see more people come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to know that the sacrifice He made for us changes everything! Our mission remains the same: To preach and teach the Word of God plainly and simply so that people's hearts are touched and their lives are changed by the power of His Word!
It has been a year of many changes as the enemy and a tyrannical government have sought to sow fear into the lives of the people. Our liberties and Constitutional rights are in extreme jeopardy, yet we remember that: "God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." In these times we must stand strong in our resolve and work to further the Kingdom of God around the world! God has blessed us with His provision to continue, so, continue, we will! Our grateful thanks go out to all who have stepped up to offer help and support in the Ministry this year. We look forward to serving the Lord together in the New Year as we await His return in Glory!
Merry Christmas with Love in Jesus!
